Learn Squash: Learn the game of Squash and practice with people at your own skill level. Squash is a fantastically fun way to burn calories, enhance your cardiovascular fitness, socialize with friends and meet new people. In this class we will cover proper racquet handling, both forehand and backhand, and also teach you all of the basic skills needed to fully enjoy everything the game of squash has to offer. Each class is divided up into form work, drills, and coached play. Take advantage of this free class and see how much fun a workout can be!
Beginner Boxing: Our beginner boxing class go over the basics of boxing with emphasis on getting you into shape. This program uses many fundamental yet challenging exercises as our competitive classes. It will give you a taste of what it’s like to be a competitive boxer.
Intro to Speed & Agility: This camp is not sport specific but is designed to increase both male & female athletes speed and agility which can be applied to their sport of choice. Sessions will include instruction on running mechanics for acceleration and top end speed; proper & appropriate warm up aiding in flexibility; balance & coordination; core stability; Plyometric; and agility drills.
Weight Room Orientation: If you are unfamiliar with how machines in our weight room work or you don't know how to adjust the machine to use it? Our fitness staff can provide you with a walk-through of the weight room to give you a better understanding of the setup and how to properly position yourself on our machines. Beginner's TRX: Born in the Navy SEALs, the TRX Suspension Training system uses bodyweight exercise to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a highly portable performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user's body weight to complete hundreds of exercises.
Beginner's Yoga: A spiritual and ascetic discipline, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, which is widely practiced for health and relaxation. A regular yoga practice will help transform both your mind and body ultimately helping you find an inner calmness/peace, enhance your balance and stability, and leave you feeling stronger and more centered.
